Watch Movies & Shows Online For Free At Crackle

Now there is another free option available to watch movies and shows legally online with Crackle. The site is owned by Sony and currently has over 250 movies and over 100 TV shows available.

Crackle was launched in 2007 but it originally charged $5 a month. However the service was made free recently and is now supported by ads instead.

In addition to watching from a computer, there are also apps available that lets you use Crackle on your iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, and also Android powered phones that are running version 2.2 or higher.

You can also stream movies and shows from Crackle on the PS3 and enjoy it on your jumbo sized HDTV. Instead of having to use an app, you just open the PS3 Internet Browser and go to http://www.crackle.com/ps3 . The interface isn’t great but it’s usable.

While the selection on Crackle isn’t quite as vast as Hulu or Netflix, there is a still a decent amount of good movies and shows. The library consists primarily of Sony films and television shows seeing that they own the website. You’ll find some classic hits such as Jerry Maguire, Men In Black, Seinfeld, and Marry With Children along with newer releases like We Own the Night and Gridiron Gang.

New movies and shows are constantly being added. In addition to complete movies and shows, you can also view trailers and clips too at Crackle. For the price of free there isn’t too much to complain about. Although some users do wish there were slightly fewer advertisements.
